Description Position Overview Sr. Project Manager will support Health IT Initiatives & Portfolio team, managing a portfolio of complex healthcare technology and operational initiatives across the enterprise. This role will serve in a dual capacity, leading Digital Patient Experience projects focused on Epic-related patient engagement solutions, including MyChart, self-scheduling, and patient access initiatives, while also supporting community health growth efforts such as clinic openings, facility relocations, acquisitions, and operational integrations. The Project Manager will partner closely with clinical, operational, technical, and executive stakeholders to deliver large-scale initiatives, drive governance activities, and ensure projects are successfully executed from planning through implementation. Key Responsibilities - Lead multiple concurrent healthcare technology and operational projects from initiation through implementation. - Manage Digital Patient Experience initiatives, including MyChart enhancements, patient self-scheduling, patient access improvements, and other Epic-related projects. - Support community health and ambulatory growth initiatives, including clinic openings, facility relocations, acquisitions, and practice integrations. - Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, status reports, risk logs, and governance documentation. - Coordinate activities across clinical, operational, technical, vendor, and business stakeholder groups. - Facilitate project governance, steering committee meetings, executive communications, and status reporting. - Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, dependencies, and resource constraints. - Partner with organizational leaders to prioritize work, align project objectives, and drive accountability. - Support change management, implementation readiness, and adoption activities. - Utilize Smartsheet and PMO best practices to manage project delivery within a primarily waterfall environment that incorporates agile principles as appropriate. - Collaborate with HIT leadership, Epic application teams, operational leaders, and executive stakeholders to achieve strategic organizational goals. Looking for a true Sr Project Manager, not a Project Coordinator, Scrum Master, or PMO Analyst. Candidate should be comfortable managing 3-5+ concurrent projects and communicating with executives, operational leaders, and technical teams. Local to Virginia or within reasonable travel distance to Charlottesville is strongly preferred, particularly for potential conversion to full-time employment. Strong candidates will have experience balancing technology initiatives with operational healthcare projects. Nice to Have Epic Refuel / Back-to-Foundation program exposure. Smartsheet proficiency. ServiceNow SPM experience. Change management and organizational readiness experience. Experience working with both operational and technical teams. Experience Level Expert Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Charlottesville, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
