We are proud to serve the people of Louisiana with integrity, innovation, and a deep commitment to equity.   Join Our Team at DCFS: Administrative Coordinator 1-4 The incumbent of this position is responsible for serving as liaison and/or contact person for State Office and local offices, customers, vendors, and agencies; completing documents for reporting monthly; completing E-Par request for all areas of Child Welfare; purchases of supplies; arrangement of travel for State Office personnel; processing invoices for payments; Payroll, as well as assisting with the clerical and office administration task for State Office programs. Supplemental information Job Duties: The incumbent is responsible for providing administrative support for the Child Welfare Manager 2, Child Welfare Manager 1, and Child Welfare Consultants.  Tracking and monitoring of all request received; ensuring travel regarding placement crisis is done timely, contract documents and payment documents are tracked and entered timely.  Serving as a communication liaison between multiple agencies and DCFS staff related to placement services and providers.  Organizing, obtaining, and tracking all travel for staff in these programs.  Perform other administrative  support functions such as timekeeping, accounts payable, LaCarte and CBA purchases, copying, filing, maintaining records of activities, etc.  Other duties as assigned including emergency preparedness and response.  Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: This position may be filled as a probational appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probational appointments. Also, it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months or by promotion of a permanent classified employee. Career Progression:   This position may be filled as a Administrative Coordinator 1-4, depending on selected applicant.  Work Schedule:   Typically, work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday.  Flexible work schedules are available after meeting certain criteria and is dependent upon the position you are applying for.  Some positions require working shifts.   Work Location: Baton Rouge, La- State Office Louisiana HB 420 requires all prospective DCFS employees to complete and clear multiple background clearances prior to employment with this agency.  How To Apply: No Civil Service test score  is required in order to be considered for this vacancy.
