Learn more about Louisiana Works The Administrative Coordinator 1/2/3/4 provides administrative support to Administrative Law Judges (ALJs), case managers, and other staff in the processing of unemployment insurance appeals. Responsibilities include reviewing and docketing appeals; validating and invalidating appeals in HiRE; uploading appeals, evidence, and supporting documentation; and ensuring case files contain all reasonably available information. The position maintains accurate case information in HiRE, with careful attention to detail due to its impact on federal reporting and agency performance measures. The position also processes incoming correspondence, answers telephone calls, provides general information, directs calls to appropriate staff, and performs other administrative duties necessary to support the timely and accurate processing of appeals. OUIA oversees Louisiana’s Unemployment Insurance (UI) program, which provides temporary financial assistance to eligible workers who are unemployed through no fault of their own. The office manages the full UI lifecycle, including employer tax collection, benefit claims processing, fraud prevention, and appeals. Supplemental information Job Details Support multiple Administrative Law Judges (ALJs) and case managers by helping ensure appeals and related work are processed accurately and efficiently. Review and docket appeals, validate or invalidate cases in the system, upload appeals and supporting evidence, and ensure case files contain all reasonably available information. Process incoming mail, faxes, emails, and FileNet documents. Answer calls, provide general information, and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff. Enter and maintain case information accurately, as the information in the system directly impacts federal reporting, performance measures, and the timely processing of appeals.
