About the role
The specific pay rate and level will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications, prior experience and location. “A Day in the Life” In this position you will organize, direct and supervise the work of warehouse employees. Load and unload material within a warehouse or storage facility. Utilize hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks and within the storage facility. Receive, unpack, check, and store merchandise or materials. Fill requisitions and orders. Pack, crate, and ship products and materials to distribution center, departments, or assembly line. Will operate forklift. “What You’ll Do” Organize, direct and supervise the work of warehouse employees Receive and enter materials into warehouse management system Maintain and execute materials management programs Operate forklifts to stack and retrieve supplies and materials Document and maintain inventory and ensures production area organization and cleanliness Understand and apply LEAN processes to organize the warehouse, reduce waste, and keep operations running efficiently Works closely with the purchasing agent to track and organize equipment and material Have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job May interact with vendors and suppliers and perform basic purchasing responsibilities Maintain inventory of materials and coordinates orders with purchasing agent Review and distribute material vouchers Conduct safety behavioral observations Perform other duties as assigned “Must Haves” Able to work outside in variable weather conditions Computer skills including Microsoft Office, especially with proficiency with EXCEL spreadsheets Ability to follow spoken and written instruction Ability to safely perform all tasks and understand Company’s safety policies and procedures Ability to guide and lead multiple teams Prior experience in related work required Prior experience of at least 3 years in the warehouse/construction industry with an understanding of warehouse practices and procedures. M-F 6:00am - 2:30pm Special Considerations: Position requires manual dexterity and the ability to maintain physical activity for most of the day Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and hold or lift a variety of objects Able to carry, bend, stoop, turn, kneel, crawl, climb a ladder and other manual labor activities “Perks” DailyPay Available!!
