Teacher Assistant - Math Interventionist

About the role

Pay:  $17.19 - $19.06 / hour (Step placement dependent upon education and experience) Schedule:   M-F / 5.5 hours daily / 27.5 hours weekly  Please note GHAPS will complete the recruiting process but the employee will be onboarded by WMJ.      Applicants for this position must possess the following criteria: Must possess a high school diploma and have  60 hours of study at a college/university; or an Associates Degree or higher; or  pass a competency test (Michigan Test for Teacher Certification - Basic Skills Test,  or ETS ParaPro Test - (Math, Reading, and Writing  tests). Preference will be given to an individual with teacher certification. Must possess experience with math interventions. The demonstrated ability to work positively with "at-risk" math students. Self-directed with good organizational and communication skills. A demonstrated ability to work effectively in both a team and individual tutoring situation.
