As a Clinical Nursing Supervisor in our OB Emergency Department, you will play a vital role in guiding clinical teams, ensuring high-quality patient care, and supporting families during some of life’s most critical and meaningful moments. Position Details: What You’ll Do Coordinate patient placement and staff assignments to ensure safe, efficient care delivery Support and assist clinical staff with patient care and unit operations Serve as a clinical resource for nurses, patients, and families Step in as a staff nurse as needed based on patient acuity Supervise and direct clinical activities, responding to rapidly changing patient conditions Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and interdisciplinary teams Participate in staff education, onboarding, and ongoing training Lead and contribute to quality improvement initiatives Assist with departmental operations including staffing, scheduling, and resource utilization Help maintain inventory, equipment, and overall unit environment Represent the department on committees and organizational initiatives What You’ll Bring Required Qualifications Education: Graduate from an accredited Nursing program Licensure: Active RN license (or compact license) meeting all state board requirements Experience: Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience Certification: BLS (American Heart Association) within 30 days of hire Additional certifications may be required based on unit (e.g., ACLS, NRP, C-EFM, PALS, etc.) Preferred Qualifications Previous supervisor or leadership experience Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) Experience in OB, emergency, or high-acuity settings Physical Requirements Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly Prolonged standing and walking throughout shifts Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and movement required Why Mercy?
