We are currently seeking a Sr. Supplier Quality Specialist for a client within the Automotive Manufacturing industry. Position Overview The Sr. Supplier Quality Specialist is responsible for supporting supplier quality and quality operations within a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment. This position will lead supplier quality initiatives, analyze quality performance, drive corrective actions, and work cross-functionally with suppliers, manufacturing, and quality teams. Bilingual Spanish/English proficiency is required. Responsibilities Monitor supplier quality performance, incoming inspections, quality trends, warranty claims, and other key quality metrics to identify and resolve issues. Analyze quality concerns and work with suppliers to develop corrective actions, root-cause solutions, and preventive measures. Coordinate durability testing and manage supplier documentation, including ISIRs, 4M changes, EO/new part samples, and product approvals. Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and suppliers to resolve issues involving materials, tooling, specifications, processes, and field-return products. Support and maintain quality systems and processes in accordance with IATF 16949, customer requirements, and company standards. Lead, coach, and develop approximately 3–5 direct reports while supporting department KPIs, performance goals, and continuous-improvement initiatives. Promote compliance with company safety requirements, 5S standards, quality procedures, and a safe manufacturing environment. Qualifications 7–10 years of related supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or automotive industry experience. Bilingual Spanish/English required. High school diploma/GED required; bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience preferred. 3–5 years of supervisory experience preferred. Strong knowledge of supplier quality, corrective actions, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement. Automotive manufacturing, powertrain, transmission, or Tier 1/Tier 2 supplier experience preferred. Experience with IATF 16949, ISIR, 4M, warranty analysis, and Cost of Quality preferred. Ability to support alternate shifts, overtime, and occasional weekends as needed. Software Skills Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, SAP, and VAATZ Physical Requirements Ability to work in an automotive manufacturing environment, including periods of standing, walking, and computer work. Must occasionally be able to lift/carry up to 25 lbs. and push/pull wheeled carts up to 50 lbs. Additional Requirements Candidates must be at least 18 years old, authorized to work in the United States, and able to successfully complete applicable pre-employment screening requirements.
