Senior Project Manager Position Summary The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful planning, execution, and completion of complex concrete construction projects. This role provides overall project leadership with accountability for safety, quality, schedule, financial performance, client satisfaction, and team development. The Senior Project Manager works closely with field leadership, project teams, clients, design professionals, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contractual requirements. This position also serves as a leader and mentor within the organization, supporting the development of project management talent and reinforcing Concrete Strategies' standards and values. Key Responsibilities Lead projects from preconstruction and turnover through execution, closeout, and final financial reconciliation. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, general contractors, design teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal partners. Establish project objectives, execution strategies, schedules, budgets, and performance expectations. Maintain accountability for overall project financial performance, including cost forecasting, profitability, cash flow, billing, and change management. Review project costs and forecasts regularly, identify variances, and implement corrective actions as needed. Lead contract administration, including review and management of contractual requirements, changes, notices, documentation, and project correspondence. Partner with field leadership to develop and maintain project schedules, manpower plans, logistics plans, and sequencing strategies. Promote a strong safety culture and ensure project teams consistently support company safety policies, procedures, and expectations. Ensure quality standards and project requirements are understood and maintained throughout construction. Identify project risks and opportunities and develop appropriate mitigation or execution strategies. Lead project meetings and communicate project status, priorities, risks, and required actions to appropriate stakeholders. Coordinate procurement and subcontractor activities to support project schedules and operational requirements. Oversee project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, cost reports, schedules, and closeout requirements. Support resolution of complex project issues while maintaining productive relationships with clients and project partners. Mentor and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other team members. Support preconstruction, estimating, and business development efforts as needed, including constructability reviews, budgeting, scheduling, and project pursuit activities. Participate in project turnover and lessons-learned processes to promote continuous improvement. Ensure projects are completed in accordance with company standards, contractual commitments, and client expectations. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant construction experience. Significant progressive experience in construction project management with demonstrated responsibility for project execution and financial performance. Experience managing complex commercial construction projects and multidisciplinary project teams. Demonstrated understanding of construction contracts, project controls, scheduling, cost management, procurement, and change management. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced project environment. Proficiency with standard construction management and business software. Ability to travel to project locations as business needs require. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing large-scale concrete or self-perform construction projects. Experience with cast-in-place concrete, tilt-up construction, structural concrete, precast erection, or related scopes of work. Demonstrated experience leading and developing project management teams. Experience supporting preconstruction, estimating, and client development activities. Relevant construction or project management certifications. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, cost controls, and project delivery. Ability to understand and administer construction contracts and related project documentation. Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, forecasts, costs, and project profitability. Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, contracts, schedules, and technical documents. Effective leadership and team-development skills. Strong negotiation, conflict-resolution, and decision-making abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build productive relationships with clients, field teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders. Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills. Ability to identify risks, evaluate alternatives, and implement practical solutions. Commitment to safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. Physical Requirements / Work Environment Work is performed in both office and active construction-site environments. Regular visits to construction sites may require walking or standing for extended periods and navigating uneven or unfinished surfaces. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment while on project sites. May be exposed to weather, noise, dust, moving equipment, and other conditions typical of active construction sites. Travel may be required based on project assignments and business needs.
