Jefferson Township Public Schools Special Education Aide LEAVE REPLACEMENT Required Certificate(s): High School Diploma or Equivalent Additional Qualifications: 60 college credits; or Passed ParaPro Assessment (preferred) Preschool aide experience (preferred)  Anticipated Assignment Dates: October 13, 2026 � January 15, 2027 4 days/week, 7 hrs./day Job Goals: To provide an approved education program and establish a class environment fostering learning and personal growth in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Salary: $27.18/hr. Benefits: Not eligible for benefits. Paid time off according to Earned Sick Leave law. RESIDENCY LAW: Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (P.L. 2011, Chapter 70), also known as the "New Jersey First Act", effective September 1, 2011, all newly hired public employees, including public school district employees must reside in the State of New Jersey, unless exempted under the law. If you do not reside in New Jersey, you have one year after the date of hire to relocate your residence to New Jersey. If you do not do so, you are subject to removal from your position in NEW JERSEY.
