WECU is seeking a Senior Vice President, Impact  to join our Senior Leadership team located in Bellingham, WA. This position serves as a key member of the senior vice president team, responsible for advancing the credit union’s strategic initiatives that enhance equitable financial opportunity, community impact, and member financial wellbeing. The SVP, Impact, ensures that the credit union’s strategic growth initiatives and other business objectives support the advancement of impact and vice versa. Working collaboratively with the senior vice presidents, executive team, community partners and employees, the SVP, Impact, develops and executes strategies that strengthen the credit union’s charitable giving, advocacy, community presence, member experience and long-term sustainability. RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic Leadership Develop and implement the credit union's enterprise-wide impact strategy aligned with the strategic plan. Establish measurable goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) for community, member, and organizational impact. Advise the CEO, executive team and SVPs on emerging trends affecting financial inclusion, community development, and social responsibility. Lead initiatives that support sustainable growth while advancing the credit union's impact initiatives, mission and values. Member Financial Well-Being Design and oversee programs that improve financial wellness, financial literacy initiatives that support members’ long-term financial wellbeing. Collaborate with business units across WECU to support efforts that improve member awareness of and access to products and services. Identify opportunities to reach underserved and underbanked populations. Measure and report outcomes related to member financial health and economic empowerment. Community Impact & Partnerships Develop strategic partnerships with nonprofit organizations, government agencies, schools, chambers of commerce, and community groups. Lead the credit union's charitable giving, sponsorships, volunteer programs, and foundation activities. Lead WECU’s advocacy efforts and mobilize responses that align with WECU’s goals. Represent the credit union at community, industry, and civic events. Promote initiatives that enhance economic development and strengthen local communities QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or related field required, Master’s degree and credit union leadership preferred. 8+ years proven progressive leadership experience in leading strategic initiatives and cross-functional teams, including experience in financial services, credit unions, community impact, or related fields. Strong track record in strategic thinking, collaboration and influence and program management. Excellent communication, relationship building, and public speaking skills. Strong understanding of cooperative principles, community/social impact, and member-focused financial services. WECU provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401(k) retirement plan with an 8% annual contribution from WECU, bonus plan, two or more weeks of vacation, up to 11 paid holidays, paid life and disability insurance, annual wellness benefit, loan discounts, professional development, and much more.
