Summary: This position is responsible for general accounting, treasury, sales and use tax, and payroll processing functions while assisting the Controller in other areas as required. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Fixed asset accounting, including tracking capital spending -in-process and accounting for additions, deletions, and depreciation in accordance with company policies and generally accepted accounting principles. Perform monthly accounting functions including account review and classification; monthly journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations as assigned. Submit various state tax filings, including sales and use, and prepare payment requests as required. Process weekly payroll processing with integration of company time keeping system. Prepare monthly sales commission calculations and corresponding journal entry. Update daily cash analysis. Submit check positive pay and resolve alerts. Submit mobile check deposits. Process bank wires and ACH payments. Perform monthly reconciliation of bank statements to ledger accounts. Review customer outstanding invoices and credit limits: submit requests for necessary equipment order approvals and maintain equipment order approval log. Administer travel and expense reporting system (SAP Concur). Generate reports needed for monthly credit card accrual and allocation journal entries. Support internal and external audit requests. Other duties as may be assigned by the Controller or CFO. Requirements Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.. Three to five years relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment. CPA preferred. Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. · Skills: · Proficiency in ERP systems (Epicor preferred), payroll systems (Paylocity preferred) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros). · Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail. · Knowledge of sales and use taxes and other business tax regulations. · Excellent communication skills to present complex data to non-financial stakeholders. · Ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. · Other: Must be able to handle confidential information with integrity. · Compensation and Benefits · Competitive salary based on experience · Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
