The Senior Financial Analyst will support Optum Rx PBM Operating Cost Finance through financial planning, reporting, analysis, and recurring process execution. This role will help maintain forecast and budget templates, refresh standard reporting, analyze financial results, and support timely, accurate delivery of core finance routines. The position requires strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to organize complex financial information into clear, consistent reporting and templates. This position is full time. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment.   Primary Responsibilities: Support monthly forecast, budget, and long-range planning processes for PBM operating cost functions Maintain and refresh financial planning templates, reporting files, dashboards, and management packages Prepare, validate, and organize files used in forecast, budget, month-end, and recurring reporting routines Analyze financial results and summarize variances to budget, forecast, and prior year performance Identify cost trends, key drivers, risks, and opportunities through data analysis and reporting Support enhancements to financial reporting tools, templates, and dashboards to improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency Document reporting processes, assumptions, and methodologies to promote consistency and knowledge sharing   You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, OR related field 1+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, corporate finance, OR a related financial role Experience with preparing financial reports, forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses Experience with maintaining templates, recurring reports, and financial presentations Intermediate (or higher) Microsoft Excel skills, including experience in working with large data sets Ability to work any of our full time, shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm   Preferred Qualifications: Healthcare, PBM, managed care, OR operating cost finance experience Experience with financial planning systems such as Essbase, SmartView, Hyperion, Oracle EPM, OR similar tools Experience with Power BI, SQL, Databricks, OR other reporting and analytics platforms Experience with supporting process improvement, reporting automation, OR recurring finance process standardization   Soft Skills: Proven analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills   Key Competencies: Financial planning and analysis Financial reporting and template maintenance Data accuracy and attention to detail Analytical thinking and problem solving Process improvement and documentation Ability to manage recurring deadlines and priorities   Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $60,200 - $107,400 annually based on full-time employment.
