Are you ready to lead strategic financial initiatives that shape the future of Spectrum’s business decisions?   The Senior Director, Finance, provides strategic leadership for enterprise cost analysis, financial operations, vendor contract oversight, dispute resolution, process transformation, and control governance.      This role leads high-performing teams ensuring accurate and timely processing of direct and indirect cost invoices, strong financial controls, and detailed support for monthly financial reporting. In addtion, this role will be responsible for comprehensive cost management across operating expense and direct cost / cost of goods sold environments, with special focus on internet network costs and interconnection services (colocation, leased dark fiber, lit waves, IRUs, transport) and voice network-related costs such as long distance, 911, CNAM, and other voice services, while supporting the budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and long-range cost planning for these categories. Moreover, this role partners across Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Legal, Network Operations, Internal Audit, IT, and integration teams to optimize vendor spend, ensure contractual compliance, improve dispute resolution, and drive operational excellence.   Lastly, this role will oversee the management, administration, budgeting, and strategic oversight of TEOCO telecom expense management platform, ensuring it supports invoice auditing, cost visibility, dispute management, reporting, compliance, and long-term business objectives while providing SOC control oversight and supporting business integrations, contract renewals, and vendor negotiations aligned with organizational goals. Transition Responsibilities In the initial phase of this role, the Senior Director will: Provide executive leadership in support of the transition of Cox Communications’ telecom cost management function to Spectrum’s practices, processes, and procedures This includes directing a comprehensive inventory of Cox telecom billing and contracts, including internet network, interconnection, and voice network agreements, and overseeing the abstraction of key contract terms, renewal and expiration provisions, and cost-savings and consolidation opportunities to inform integration strategy This will also provide strategic oversight of the migration of Cox telecom cost management activity to Spectrum’s cost management and ERP systems, including TEOCO, ensuring data integrity, process continuity, and alignment with SOC controls throughout the transition Upon completion of the migration, the Senior Director will transition into the permanent role described below, assuming full strategic leadership for enterprise cost management, financial operations, vendor contract oversight, and control governance as outlined How You’ll Make an Impact        Provide strategic direction and executive oversight for timely, accurate monthly processing of direct and indirect cost invoices, ensuring compliance and alignment of financial controls Lead enterprise cost management strategies for direct cost / cost of goods sold Internet network and interconnection expenses, including collocation, leased dark fiber, lit waves, IRUs, transport, and for voice network costs such as long distance, 911, CNAM, and other voice service expenses Oversee teams auditing billing charges against contractual rates, validating inventories, and delivering detailed financial analysis supporting monthly financial reports and executive decision-making Drive disciplined financial oversight of high-value telecom and voice vendor spend, ensuring accurate cost recognition, billing integrity, contract compliance, and lifecycle management of service agreements Lead and elevate vendor contract negotiations for strategic telecom, internet, interconnection, and voice suppliers by: Developing negotiation strategies focused on cost, service quality, risk mitigation, and flexibility Aligning contract terms with business requirements alongside Legal, Procurement, and Finance partners Negotiating pricing, renewal terms, service level commitments, termination rights, escalation and credit provisions, and dispute remedies Managing both new contracts and renewals for internet, transport, colocation, fiber, IRU, and voice services Ensuring contracts drive value creation, cost control, and risk reduction Strengthen vendor management by: Establishing governance frameworks and vendor performance monitoring, including SLAs, billing accuracy, and dispute resolution Driving accountability for vendor corrective actions and service improvements Maintaining high-level vendor relationships to support continuity and leverage Assigning vendor ownership within the team to increase responsiveness and effectiveness Manage documentation of key contract terms, such as pricing structures, renewal/expiration dates, termination clauses, service commitments, escalation paths, and voice-specific provisions Lead contract term aging analysis to improve foresight on expirations, renewals, notice periods, and evergreen terms for proactive sourcing and risk mitigation Execute enterprise dispute resolution programs, especially targeting aged disputes, supporting recovery, and embedding ownership models to accelerate resolution supported by TEOCO analytics Provide executive oversight and strategic governance for the TEOCO telecom expense management system, including budgeting, administration, support, enhancements, and platform ROI Ensure TEOCO dashboards and workflows enable effective telecom and voice expense management, visibility into direct costs, dispute management, and compliance with SOC controls Lead SOC control oversight, partnering with internal audit and compliance to ensure process design, evidence retention, audit readiness, and remediation management Support financial and operational integration activities, including cost system reviews, supplier mapping, GL coding, and alignment of contracts and processes during acquisitions and mergers.
