About the role
Program: HELP Works | 111 Sunken Garden Loop, Manhattan, NY 10035 What You'll Do HELP WORKS is a program that provides training and job placement assistance for residents in our shelter programs. As Program Assistant, you’ll provide support services for the Director and other support staff, including events, projects, budgeting, payroll, and meetings. Your responsibilities will include: • Assisting in the creation of promotional materials, agency forms, and flyers. • Generating weekly and monthly reports. • Scheduling meetings, trainings, and interviews. You’re a great fit for this role if you have: • High School Diploma or equivalent OR equivalent experience and skills. • Strong time management and organizational skills, and the ability to multitask with shifting priorities. • Creativity and the ability to take initiative and follow through. • Strong communication skills. • Ability to work effectively as a team player and to interface with all levels of management. • Computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office applications. Compensation Actual compensation will not be less than the applicable minimum wage, prevailing wage, or exempt salary requirements under federal, state and local laws.
