About the role

The Caglayan laboratory at the Eppley Institute for Research in Cancer and Allied Diseases, University of Nebraska Medical Center ( UNMC ), is actively seeking highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Research Associates to join out research team. Our research program, supported by funding from the National Institute of General Medical Services ( NIGMS ) and start-up funding for the Eppley Institute, is focused on unraveling the molecular mechanisms that govern DAN repair and genome maintenance. We integrate biochemistry, structural biology (X-ray crystallography and cryo-EM), and biophysics. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research focused on the s ingle-molecule characterization of DNA repair proteins using Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence ( TIRF ) microscopy and C-Trap optical tweezers.
