Description   Student Tutor THIS POSITION IS ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT STUDENTS AT THE GEO 21ST CENTURY CHARTER SCHOOL AT GARY. REPORTS TO/TERM: Principal and Administrative Team Part Time-NOT to Exceed 25 Worked Hours Per Week   ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:   A Student Tutor is required to perform the following duties: Motivate and support students in reaching high levels of academic success Maintain high behavioral expectations for all students Perform targeted individual assistance and small group tutoring Maintain frequent communication with students and their support network regarding academic progress Communicate and collaborate with teachers and school administrators Participate in staff development opportunities Ensure the security of computer equipment and accessories Uphold all school policies Requirements   REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Commitment to the mission and organizational goals of GEO Academies Be a current High School Student at 21st Century Charter School @Gary Carry a consistent 3.0 Grade Point Average
