About the role
Description We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will provide clinical support under the supervision of a physician while assisting with both front and back office responsibilities in a vein treatment practice. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing an exceptional patient experience. The Medical Assistant will also be expected to travel regularly to our Augusta location to provide additional support as needed. Requirements Perform routine clinical tasks under physician supervision, including preparing exam rooms and assisting with procedures. Escort patients to and from exam rooms and ensure they are comfortable and informed. Accurately input clinical information into patient charts and maintain up-to-date electronic medical records. Welcome patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner. Coordinate front desk activities, such as managing incoming and outgoing mail, and distributing internal correspondence. Answer and redirect phone call to the appropriate departments. Assist with scheduling, check-in/check-out processes, and general office support as needed. Perform other duties as assigned to support efficient practice operations. Qualifications Medical Assistant certification preferred. Prior experience in a clinical or vein treatment setting is a plus. Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on patient care.
