About the role
The Finance Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting financial activities, analysis, reporting, and projects that help drive Orgill’s business operations. This position provides students with the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world financial situations while working alongside experienced finance professionals and business partners. The intern may have the opportunity to contribute to areas such as financial planning and analysis, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial analysis, and other finance initiatives. Assignments will be based on business needs as well as the intern’s academic background, skills, and career interests. This internship provides meaningful project-based experience and an opportunity to develop a broad understanding of how finance supports a large, global organization. Area of Focus Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Accounting Financial Reporting Budgeting & Forecasting Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable General Ledger Financial Analysis Cost Analysis Data & Financial Analytics Internal Controls Process Improvement Finance Operations Indirect Procurement Key Responsibilities Support financial projects and initiatives within an assigned functional area. Assist with financial reporting, analysis, and data collection. Help prepare financial reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and other business materials. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and planning activities as assigned. Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Assist with reconciliations, account research, and other accounting activities as applicable to the assigned team. Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general ledger activities as applicable. Assist with maintaining and organizing financial records and documentation. Research financial information and industry practices to support assigned projects. Collaborate with finance professionals and business partners across the organization. Participate in meetings, project planning, and cross-functional initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, or efficiency. Participate in professional development opportunities, lunch and learns, and intern activities. Complete a meaningful project or assignment that contributes to the goals of the Finance team. Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information. Follow applicable company policies, procedures, and internal controls. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university. Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Able to commit to the full internship program from June–August 2027. Ability to work onsite at our Collierville Home Office for the duration of the program.
