Prevention Statewide Coordinator Job Location: OFFICE OF STATEWIDE PREVENTION 3003 N Central Ave Phoenix, AZ 85012 Posting Details: Salary: $26.4424 HRLY / $55,000.19 Salary  Grade: 20 Closing Date: September 10, 2026 Job Summary: The Prevention Statewide Coordinator leads field staff and internal/external stakeholders with planning and organizing of events, meetings and trainings around primary, secondary and tertiary prevention services/programs. In addition, this position works with community members, parents, youth in foster care, and other social service agencies in providing services to families. **This position requires statewide travel, and participation in events some nights and weekends.** Job Duties: Performs program development and management for Office of Prevention functions as assigned, such as but not limited to Housing Voucher Program, Car Seat Program, Baby Box Program, CarePortal, Protective Factors and ACE’s training/awareness, Citizens Review Panels, Parent Advisory Panels, Child Abuse Prevention Grant Programs. Develops and maintains written content for the Office of Prevention as assigned, including but not limited to curriculum and delivery of prevention training, public awareness, statewide child maltreatment fatality prevention plan, community-based child abuse prevention plan (CBCAP). Implements strategies identified by the primary, secondary and tertiary statewide needs assessment, and contributes to monthly strategic plan updates. Prepares written material for annual federal and state grant applications and grant reports. Plans, organizes and implements conference workshops, annual learning opportunities, parent collaboratives/community engagement events, and family friendly activities in the community. Other duties as assigned as related to the position. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): Knowledge of: Child Welfare, prevention and in-home services   Report development Software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Interrelationships of public sector Partnerships and collaborations Program development Skills in: Public speaking Training Written and verbal communication Contributing to social media Coordinating with others Problem solving Utilizing various software applications Project management and strategic planning Ability to: Plan, organize and implement prevention events, meetings and strategies Provide technical assistance to DCS field staff and external stakeholders Work as part of a team and collaborate with parents, community members and other state agencies Develop presentations Research best practices Facilitate work groups and project plans Selective Preference(s): The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work or related field and 4 years of social service experience, experience in child welfare or other work with children and families in a social service agency. Pre-Employment Requirements: The ability to secure and maintain clearance from the DCS Central Registry. This position does require driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business. The following requirements apply:  Driver’s License Requirements.
