St Vincent's Private Hospital Melbourne- East Melbourne Campus is seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Bookings Officer to join our East Melbourne team on a permanent part-time basis (30 hours per week). ABOUT THE ROLE As a Bookings Officer, you will work within a dynamic team, liaising with surgeons' rooms, practice managers, theatre staff, ward teams, and other key stakeholders to facilitate efficient scheduling and booking processes. This role is integral to ensuring a seamless experience for patients and clinicians while supporting the effective utilisation of hospital resources. The East Melbourne Bookings Office operates Monday to Friday between 7:30am and 6:00pm, with shifts rostered across these hours to meet operational requirements. The key r esponsibilities of this role are: Liaise with surgeons, practice managers, and clinical teams to facilitate patient bookings and scheduling requirements. Ensure booking information is accurate, complete, and processed within required timeframes. Provide exceptional customer service to clinicians, patients, and internal stakeholders. Respond to telephone and email enquiries professionally, efficiently, and courteously. Support the optimal utilisation of theatre and procedural resources through effective scheduling practices. Maintain accurate patient and booking records in relevant hospital information systems. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support efficient patient flow and service delivery. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities. Confidence using hospital information systems and Microsoft Office applications.
