NOTICE OF VACANCY EXTRA-CURRICULAR – 2026-2027   ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A CURRENT WVDE CERTIFICATE OR WVSSAC CERTIFICATION PRIOR TO COACHING   JAMES MONROE HIGH SCHOOL    Head Wrestling Coach                                    Job Description:                       Responsible for the administration of the designated sports program Development of team philosophies and responsibilities Supervision of players Inventory of all equipment Program budget Maintenance of facilities input Prepare practice/game plans Follow player academic progress Care of injuries Develop positive relationship with players, parents, students, coaches, band, faculty, officials, media, and the community Be knowledgeable of all WVSSAC rules and strictly adhere to the same Attend required WVSSAC clinics Organize supplemental funding activities to support the program Participate in staff development opportunities Cooperate with athletic director, principal, and fellow coaches and students to promote the best interest of the entire athletic program Communicate effectively with other coaches, athletic director, and principal, regarding all operations and activities. Perform additional, reasonable, job-related responsibilities as assigned by the athletic director and/or building principal   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
