Summary: The Financial Reporting Analyst will report directly to the Financial Reporting Manager and will be responsible for supporting financial reporting, conducting ad hoc analysis, reviewing processes, and investigating business and accounting issues. This position will provide analytical support to help identify the root causes of issues, evaluate processes, and develop clear, data-driven recommendations for management. We are privately held, debt-free, and partnered with thousands of national and regional carriers across LTL, truckload, and expedited freight. We are a rapidly growing company, with offices and sales teams expanding across the country. This is a full-time, on-site position based in our Little Rock, AR office. The role requires daily in-office attendance with no remote work options. Job Responsibilities: Conduct special investigations, ad hoc analysis, and issue-specific projects as assigned Gather and analyze information to determine the root cause of business and accounting issues Work independently to research open-ended questions and develop fact-based conclusions Review existing accounting processes to identify breakdowns, gaps, and control weaknesses Document findings, risks, root causes, and recommended actions for management review Prepare clear and concise written reports and summaries of analytical findings Support financial reporting activities, including variance analysis, reconciliation review, and reporting package preparation Identify opportunities for process improvement and provide recommendations for resolving identified issues Utilize appropriate tools and resources to accelerate research, data analysis, documentation, and reporting Other projects and tasks assigned Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 2–4 years of accounting or finance experience preferred Internal audit experience or exposure is a plus Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power BI Ability to effectively leverage AI-enabled tools to support analysis, research, and documentation Ability to work independently with limited structure and shifting priorities Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Ability to investigate issues, ask questions, and develop conclusions supported by facts and data Sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information Self-directed and resourceful with the ability to take an open-ended assignment and determine the appropriate approach Pay & Benefits $55,000-$75,000 commensurate with experience Medical Insurance with premiums paid at 100% for employees AND dependents Dental Insurance 100% paid for Employee Vision Insurance HSA with Employer Contributions Life Insurance Short Term Disability Long Term Disability 401(k) Plan Profit Sharing: Typical annual contribution of 15% of total eligible compensation Paid Holidays AND PTO Cancer, Critical Illness, and Accident Policies available Physical Requirements: Job functions require long periods of sitting and working from computer workstation; ability to multi-task, problem solve, and prioritize daily workload; excellent organization and record keeping skills; comfortable with oral and written communications, primarily on the telephone and email.
