Description Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center – Rockford, IL Pay Range: $18.00 - $19.50 / hour (Depending on experience) Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM(1st Shift), 2:30 PM-11:00 PM (2nd Shift), 10:30 PM- 7:00 AM (3rd Shift) Full- Time or Part- Time Why Choose Fairhaven? Your Impact & Daily Responsibilities  As a CNA at Fairhaven, you will directly enrich the lives of our geriatric residents. You will work within a supportive team environment to ensure our residents feel safe, clean, and comfortable. Direct Care & Comfort: Assist residents with daily living activities including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and transfers. Clinical Support: Take vital signs, record resident weights, collect specimens, and safely apply topical creams under nursing supervision. Resident Advocacy: Act as the voice for our residents by listening to their preferences and clearly reporting changes in their well- being to the nurse. Team Collaboration: Participate in shift to shift bedside reports to ensure smooth handoffs and consistent care for our residents  Accurate Documentation: Chart resident intake, output, meal percentages, and daily performance metrics. Community Spirit: Help maintain a clean, sanitary, and homelike atmosphere that protects resident privacy, dignity, and HIPAA confidentiality. Qualifications We Look For Education: High school diploma (or equivalent) and graduate of an accredited CNA course. Certification: Successful completion of an Illinois state-approved Nursing Assistant Training Program. (Per state regulations; candidates must be certified within 120 days of employment). Life Support: Current CPR registration (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire). Communication:  Ability to actively listen and speak warmly with elderly resident, provide reassuring updates to families, and share clear updates with your nursing team. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand/walk for an entire 8-hour shift and comfortably lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
