Assistant Plant Manager

About the role

The Assistant Plant Manager will direct and manage the aggregate operations for a facility with overall responsibilities for safety, environmental, maintenance, quality, and other production-related activities. The position ensures compliance with all standards, policies, and regulations for a safe, environmentally sound production of a quality product. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Supervises hourly production employees Ensures safety and health policies are followed Complies with environmental programs, guidelines and policies Provides training to the hourly workforce Fosters positive teamwork Responsible for the planning and scheduling of plant activities on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to reach production targets Provides input to process improvements May participate in project or planning activities that go beyond day-to-day supervision of the team Qualifications: Minimum Education Details High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience Valid US Driver's license Minimum Experience Required 4+ years related experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Production process and methods Quality control methods Critical thinking Problem-solving Safety focus Environmental regulations Project management Regulatory compliance Resource management
