About the role
Key responsibilities Prior Authorizations: prepare and submit pa request for pain management procedures and medications Communicate with insurance providers to ensure timely approvals Track and follow up on pending authorization Quality Improvement (QI)Projects Assist in data collection and analysis for ongoing OI initiatives Support documentation and reporting for compliance and performance metrics collaborate with clinical staff to identify areas for process improvement Administrative Support: Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Schedule, coordinate, and reschedule patient appointments, follow-up visits, consultations, and procedures while ensuring efficient provider schedules and optimal patient flow. Coordinate provider calendars and assist with coverage arrangements during vacations, leave, or other absences. Provide comprehensive administrative support to physicians, nurse practitioners, and departmental leadership. Qualifications and Skills Prior healthcare administrative experience required, preferably in a hospital, pain management, or specialty practice setting. Strong knowledge of prior authorization processes, insurance guidelines, and payer-specific requirements. Familiarity with quality improvement initiatives, healthcare compliance standards, and clinical workflows. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and healthcare technology platforms. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, providers, and multidisciplinary teams. Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing departmental needs. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Monday & Thursday - 8am-4pm Tuesday - 8am-11am wed & fri remote ( divide 3 hours between these days) $20 hour
